Strength Year 2024
Yesterday, I watched the Crows flying together. They were gathering to the south of my home, flying by in small murders on official Crow business. It was as if they, too, got the New Year’s memo, to regroup, have a meeting, and hash things out for the New Year. What’s left to do on the agenda from 2023? Is any of it still relevant?
Where we started in 2023 is not where we ended, that’s for sure. The Chariot years do that. Move us toward our purpose, clearing, or sometimes obliterating, obstacles on the path. 2023 made our obstacles defined and crystal clear. Individually, personally, and in the sense of community and as a person in the world.
The obstacles are clear. Some have already been smashed. And others feel un-smash-able but yet, I have the sense of going around them. Instead of moving the obstacle, I’ll skirt another path. This is what leaving the Chariot year and moving into the year of Strength feels like.
After a year of being dragged into the fullness of our purpose by stoic spirit guides, we’ve taken our victory lap over death! We live another year! We’ve set goals and identified obstacles, mapped a course, and moved forward independently and with some major clarity.
2023 helped clear the path of bullshit, fake obstacles. Allowing us to replace wobbly wheels and chuck lackluster co-pilots out of the carriage. We now know what’s worth fighting for in life and in the world.
From that place of Chariot directness and path-clearing, we move into The Year of Strength. Strength is not might or muscles, it is trust, confidence, and courage.
What’s undermining our confidence? Can we trust ourselves to be more courageous? Can we foster authentic self-worth?
It’s work to become the lion tamer. We cannot tame the lion with whips and cruelty. No beaten beasts are loyal. Wild beasts are only tamed over time and trust is built from a place of deep, compassionate relationship. Can we tame our beasts this year? Or maybe we’re the lion that needs to trust the divine being? Either way, 2024 is about building a compassionate relationship with self and the Universe. Building a loving, kind relationship with spirit.
Can we trust our wildness a little more? Can we let your teeth be sharp AND feel confident that we surrender to our higher purpose?
